New students

New M State students can register for classes by:

  • Signing up for a registration event, or
  • Meeting with an advisor

Before you attend a registration event, we recommend that you complete the Accuplacer test if needed.

Registration dates

For new students, Spring 2025 registration begins in November. Fall 2025 registration begins in March.

Registration events

At a registration event, you'll meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, get your student ID, and have your questions about M State answered. Events last 1-2 hours.

Online students

About Online Registration Events

Online students are welcome to:

  • Attend an online registration event, or
  • Attend an in-person registration event on any M State campus (see campus links under "New Students" above)

Virtual registration events for all students

Attend a virtual registration event at Online Registration Events. Online registration is open to students in any major, on any campus or online.

Current students

M State offers yearlong registration for fall, spring and summer courses.

Access online registration by logging into SpartanNet and selecting E-Services. Use your degree audit report and semester-by-semester program plan to select courses. For help with course planning, contact your academic advisor; locate your advisor's name in SpartanNet.
